The challenge
Most commercial teams do not have an AI implementation challenge. They have a systems challenge.
The current era of agentic AI presents remarkable opportunities, but expecting meaningful transformation from simply distributing new tools or integrating frontier large language models into legacy workflows is rarely effective. To truly realise the value of these advancements, the underlying ways in which a team operates must be deliberately considered and adapted.
The primary bottleneck to this adaptation is rarely a lack of willingness. Instead, it is the sheer reality of executive capacity. Commercial leaders often simply do not have the time or the specialised technical understanding required to thoroughly redesign workflows or to fully map the implications of these new technologies on their team’s processes and required skill sets. This makes it incredibly difficult to translate technological potential into sustainable operational reality.
